I'm reading Breakfast At Tiffany's at the moment, cause after loving the film for so so long, I thought I should finally read the book. The film is my absolute favourite in the world, every time I feel sad, or get a particularily nasty case of the mean reds (or blues), I put it on, and within two minutes, as soon as Moon River starts playing and Audrey's wearing that immortal dress, I feel 100000 times better.
I didn't want to read it at first actually, because the film is so special to me I thought it might ruin it, if you know what I mean? Like because I always think that books are better than the film (except for Devil Wears Prada!) but actually this was okay, the book is really, really good, there's some definite differences from the film of course, but I loved Holly Golightly in it, she seems a lot more lost, which is kinda how I've been feeling recently. Truman Capote is a very good writer, however the film is still my all time absolute favourite thing EVER.
So a t-shirt with New York on it seemed like a suitably perfect thing to wear, hehe, but I do love the print on that top, I just don't wear it enough!
Oh and these are my scruffy boots, they used to be like white/grey but I thought it would be a good idea to paint them brown. With shoe polish. It wasn't the pinnacle of my diy ideas, but never mind. Am going to paint them black for winter I think :)
