the IOU project

A little while ago I heard about the IOU Project, a really nice fashion brand whose concept was to make unique, handmade clothes that made a difference to the world. It's a really good idea, so I asked a few questions to find out a bit more...

-How did you come up with the idea of the IOU Project?
"This project was born out of my need for coherence in this ever-changing world of fashion. Address things that were close to my heart, sustainability in our work, giving back to communities that made our designs possible and encouraging artisans to continue their age-old crafts that define us as humans."

-Why should we all buy it?
"Because there is something for everyone, unique, hand-made and just yours ...."

-How do you see the brand evolving?
"The Madras weavers are what we hope just the first step in this project, we know there are artisans in many parts of the world whose traditions are just as beautiful and we hope to include many other ideas into our platform. The idea is to start a dialogue about a new way of doing business"
-The IOU Project in 3 words...
 Unique handmade stories.

There's also a video that explains it, there aren't too many pictures of the clothes out yet, but there are some on their facebook page, should be nice to see them when the full collection is out.
